Position Overview:
The Senior Membership and Community Engagement Coordinator will be at the heart of building and nurturing SR1’s dynamic membership community. In this role, you will champion member support, implement strategies that grow and enrich our network of donors and supporters, and develop innovative engagement initiatives that strengthen the relationships at the core of our mission. Reporting to the SR1 leadership team, your work will enable a thriving community of members who share our vision and help advance SR1’s life-changing programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Membership and User Account Management:
- Coordinate the full lifecycle of user accounts, from onboarding and setup to ongoing support.
- Respond promptly to membership inquiries, providing technical assistance and resolving account-related challenges.
- Ensure a seamless and positive membership experience through consistent communication and proactive problem-solving.
Community Engagement:
- Develop and execute robust strategies that spark meaningful member interactions and foster a strong sense of connection within the SR1 community.
- Innovate outreach activities, events, webinars, and workshops that highlight SR1’s mission and showcase the value of membership.
- Encourage regular dialogue and feedback loops, nurturing an environment where members feel valued, heard, and inspired.
Supporters and Funding Membership Development:
- Design and implement a multi-tiered membership model for financial supporters that encourages greater investment and ongoing commitment to SR1’s work.
- Build and strengthen relationships with donors and potential supporters through personalized engagement, clear communication of impact, and recognition of their contributions.
- Identify opportunities for sustainable funding growth by leveraging data-driven insights and member feedback.
Analytics and Reporting:
- Monitor member engagement metrics, user behavior, and participation patterns to guide strategic improvements.
- Generate detailed reports on membership growth, retention rates, and funding sources to inform leadership decision-making and refine outreach efforts.
- Translate data insights into actionable recommendations that enhance the membership experience and advance SR1’s mission.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with SR1’s marketing and program teams to promote membership benefits, fundraising campaigns, and engagement opportunities.
- Maintain transparent and supportive communication channels with all stakeholders, ensuring a unified and mission-driven community.
- Collaborate with internal staff to streamline workflows, improve member satisfaction, and foster a cohesive organizational culture.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Proven experience in community management, customer support, or a similar role.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, prioritizing outstanding customer service.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, membership platforms, and analytics tools.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret user behavior and data, informing engagement strategies.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and comfort working both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing and managing donor or supporter membership programs.
- Familiarity with nonprofit fundraising, community development, or mission-driven initiatives.
- Background in outreach or engagement for organizations focused on social impact.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
- Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, paid time off, and professional growth

- Salary Range: $45,000 to $70,000, with increases based on growth in membership and community engagement.
